Milt Raskin - Exotic Tahiti

One of the ten best Exotica albums of all time, in my opinion, is....Milt Raskin's Kapu.

Exotic Tahiti is Kapu as released in Germany. Same songs but different cover and the tracks are in a different order. My copy of Kapu is kurap (sounds like the band is playing on the back of truck as its driving down a gravel road) so I ripped this version. This vinyl isn't perfect, there are some surface noises and a few clicks but it's not too bad.

Track listing:

Kapu
Koko Head
Telani
Moon Festival
Lanikai
Maika
Mileka
Iolani
Lehuo
Leahi

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks! I have but one request.

when you're able to post the album art, could you include it in the zipfile, too?

sometimes I don't have the time to unzip a file on the same day I download it, and then when I get around to unzipping the file, and it's missing the cover art or track information (some rippers don't even put the track or artist names on their files!), If i can't remember which blog it came from, I'm lost.

thanks again.

Wow, this is truly great, thanks for the post! Never heard of Milt Raskin before, without you I probably wouldn't have come to know. So thank you again!

Thanks everyone!

Ben t: I haven't had much luck in scanning the LP covers. I won't go into details but those little pics are all I've done art-wise.

The reason that I posted so much music in such a short time is because I was sick! I had a mild case of pneumonia (which I'm pretty much over) and so I had little else to do but play with the computer.

I've got some new stuff coming up soon. Thanks for the kudos!

Hello everyone, I'm glad to see some very nice comments about Milt Raskin. To let you know, I am his grandson, Neal Raskin. I've been doing some research on my grandfather because he died in 1977, 11 years before I was born. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.
