Kana Kapiolani & his Hawaiians - Songs of the Islands

This rip is as clean and sweet as the last one was rough. Gorgeous semi-trad instrumentals featuring steel guitar and a little uke. Perfect for your next luau.

I know most of you prefer the exotica over the Polynesian (the downloads for exotica are approximately double than those for the Hawaiian stuff) but you should check this one out. Crisp and clean and "Aloha Oe" is especially nice.

FANTASTIC!!!
This is one of the best Hawaiian albums i've ever heard! So, thanks a lot for this great post!

I just can't get enough of this kind of hula-music. :)

btw i have an similar album, which contains a few tracks that are also on "Songs Of The Islands" (Honolulu for example), but the artist is tagged as "Kana King". Got this from a friend so I don't know if it's wrong or if Kana Kapiolani just changed his name into Kana King... (or vice versa)

Take a listen if you like...

Thanks Herr Anon!

I'm glad you enjoyed the album. It is extremely good Hawaiian style music. Simple, tight, crisp, clean and well played. No filler, all killer.

I'm downloading yours now...
